Y3 Tool Review
The Y3 tool is one of the most versatile and simple skate tools out there.
If you have a plate that requires a nut and washer to keep your toe stop from unscrewing and rolling down the street, this tool has a toe stop wrench to easily adjust your toe stop height, and tighten and loosen the nut. It's very comfortable in most hands so you can get the torque you need to ensure a stable stop.
The tool also has sockets for both your axle nuts and kingpins. This can help you check your pivot cups and bushings to see if they need replacement, tighten or loosen trucks to find your sweet spot, change your wheels from park to indoor to outdoor, and to clean the hairballs out of your bearings.
At under $20, this tool may be the best purchase you'll make all year, and, take our word for it, it's pretty indestructible. We'd give you the list of all the things we've broken, but we might hit our character limit.
