My Feet <3 <3 N3 R3's!

I've been skating on the R3's for over a year now... I love them! They are suuuuuper dooooper comfy! I've never had blister issues, which rules, cause I hear skating w/blisters sux. These are also a bit wider, which is swell, cause I have giant feets. :D great starter skates, and must be decent for bad asses too, cause a couple girls on our A-team still use their R3's! I have noticed the boot is starting to separate from the bottom where the plate is attatched.. but well.. normal wear and tear for bad assery in training can be expected.. these puppies are holding up great!

I've had my R3's for about 8 months and they've held up wonderfully. They were right in my price range, while providing just what the beginning derby girl needs. Mine came with Pink Demon wheels rather than Caymans, but a close exchange. The boot fits my wider feet without pinching, but those with arch troubles may need an insert for these. I hated the toe-stops because of their odd shape (I prefer Gumballs now). Overall, I'd recommend this to any derby girl just starting out.
Great beginner skates

These are amazing for someone who does not want to spend a ton of money on skates because they dunno if roller derby is for them yet. I loved these so much that in my first two years i went through two pairs... If you continue skating after one season, you should upgrade even though it is expensive.

I bought these just over a year ago when I started as freshmeat. I actually really love these. I did upgrade the wheels & bearings tho. I had foot cramps the first month before they were broken in well. The grooves on the standard cayman wheels wore off pretty fast due to the extreme pressure and stress derby life puts on them. However, I had a gal within our league regroove them a little deeper and they work just as great as my other wheels. I highly recommend them for the price. 'Cause we all know how broke derby girls are! Hoffa Sponsorship Reno Roller Girls

I purchased this skate back in September 2010 as a starter skate. The boots are comfortable and the skate is not bad, however, you do get what you pay for. Since then I have replaced both the wheels and bearings for a much smoother, faster, and controlled ride. The wheels are slick so if you can master those, anything you put on afterward will be a much better improvement. Overall, they have held up well and have accomplished the job I purchased them for...a great starter skate!
