I understand these come on skates but who would seek them out? Less than a year and busted the hanger. They are light though....but you get what you don't pay for.

I hated these. Too much bounce for me, they kept throwing me on my tuchu. I was going to upgrade anyways, but then I was grinding rails when a little tipsy and broke one. I'm not a heavy person by any standards either so the local skate shop said I'd be fine with these. Wrong! I suppose they're great for the lightweights or anyone who hasn't skated much, but I come from a figure skating background and need something with less bloody bounce!

I love these plates. I spent 8 months skating with the triton plates that came on my she devils, and it was agonizing. The tritons were too heavy, and my feet and legs were taking a beating every time I crossed over. After switching to the Thrust plates the pain I felt while doing crossovers went away and I shaved 25 seconds off my laps in a couple of weeks. WEEKS I SAY! I have been skating on them for about 3 months now, and my feet and ankles couldn't be happier. I heard a rumor that toe stops might come loose with these plates, but I haven't had a problem with them yet. For those wondering I'm 5'3" 150ish lbs and I enjoy skinny dipping in no swim zones during summer. Hope that helps with your plate shopping. Such a wonderful upgrade for a fabulous price.
